Amie is currently at the Norrlandsoperan in Umeå, Sweden. This season she is singing the role of Omar in John Adams' The Death of klinghoffer and later Charlotte in Daniel Nelson's adaption of Jane Austen's beloved Stolthet och Fördom (Pride and Prejudice). She is the recieptient of this year great opera scholarship from the Drottningholmsoperans Vänner for her particular interest in baroque and classical repertoire and especially her "warm sounding mezzo and strong stage presence", the prize was awarded to Amie by His Majesty The King at a staged concert she participated in at Drottningholm Theatre.
Amie has been a soloist at Norrlandsoperan since last year where she started the season with an monologue opera of Sofia Gubaidulina's song cycle Galgenlieder, then continued with Nicklausse (Les Contes d'Hoffmann) and Adriana Mater by Kaija Saariaho where Amie was covering the title role. Alongside the opera engagements Amie is also participating in concert performances as a soloist with the Norrlandsoperans Symfoniorkester, as the alto soloist in Bach Christmas Oratorio and in August last season she sang a concert of opera arias with the orchestra which was a co-production with Sveriges Radio and broadcasted live on national radio. This Christmas Amie will feature the Norrlandsoperans Symfoniorkester Christmas Concert with a program of christmas songs.
In 2021, Amie performed the role of Hansel in Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel in production by British Youth Opera and Silent Opera at Opera Holland Parks's theatre. In 2019 she performed the role of Lily with the BBC Concert Orchestra at Grange Park Opera in their production of Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess. Her repertoire stretches from Monteverdi’s Ottavia ( L’Incoronazione di Poppea) and Mozart roles such as Cherubino (Le Nozze di Figaro), Annio (La Clemenza di Tito) to Bizet’s Carmen and Britten’s Lucretia. Besides opera, Amie has a passion for art song and especially by Swedish composers such as Stenhammar and Nystroem.
Amie graduated from Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London in 2019 where she was generously supported by the school through Anglo-Swedish Society. She now lives in Stockholm where she recently graduated from the Stockholm University College of Opera where she studied the role of Dorabella in Mozart’s Così fan tutte and the title role in Bizet's Carmen.
